Gongju National Museum was built right next to one of the most significant archeological finds on the Korean Peninsula. Here, you can see the contents of King Muryeong of Baekje Kingdom (501-523)’s tomb right next to the historic site. Preserved in near-perfect condition, portions of the royal couple’s wooden coffins are on display along with the artifacts that laid hidden in their tombs for nearly 1,500 years.
